I used to get caught up and comparing myself to those that I perceived had ‘more’ than me.
Then, I shifted my mindset from:
“I could never do what she is doing.”
To...
“If she can do, that means it’s possible for me to as well.”
To change my mindset on wanting to bring others down, I began using my thoughts of comparison as hints into what I wanted more of, and used those people and things as expanders for what I could achieve for myself.
So, next time when you feel yourself comparing yourself to another person. Recognise that person as an expander for what is possible for you as well.
If they can do it, so can you - so go do it!
